Come and meet Roo Waterhouse; we’re currently showing her exhibition The Comfort of Things at The Town Hall.
Roo’s paintings are inspired by household objects which she depicts in situ, often larger than life. She loves to paint using oils – the traditional medium of reverential portraiture. Her paintings observe and appreciate our relationships with the often unnoticed familiar objects in our everyday surroundings; exploring how they can hold onto the stories of our lives, becoming links to past times.
Wrapping up my paintings ready to transport (all of 100 yards!) to Hebden Bridge Town Hall tomorrow to hang ‘The Comfort of Things’ exhibition!!
I am sincerely hoping that this new painting is going to be ready for ‘The Comfort of Things’ exhibition at Hebden Bridge Town Hall. Opening 3 weeks today!! (eeek!)
Hope I just haven’t tempted fate…..
