Come and meet Roo Waterhouse; we’re currently showing her exhibition The Comfort of Things at The Town Hall.
Roo’s paintings are inspired by household objects which she depicts in situ, often larger than life. Â She loves to paint using oils – the traditional medium of reverential portraiture. Â Her paintings observe and appreciate our relationships with the often unnoticed familiar objects in our everyday surroundings; exploring how they can hold onto the stories of our lives, becoming links to past times.
